Nashotah Park Green Trail Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The variety of landscape in this park—including marshland, lakes, and hardwood forest—offers great habitat for birds and other wildlife, and the rolling landscape gives you scenic overlooks of the water and a little extra exercise.
For a park of 443 acres, Nashotah has quite a variety of habitats. With lakes, wetlands, savanna, meadow, cedar glades, and hardwood forest, the park is home to a variety of plants and animals, in particular songbirds. There is a map board at the trailhead as well as most trail junctures throughout the hike. To the left of the trailhead is the entrance to the alternate Blue Trail, an easy 1.5-mile loop along the edge of Forest Lake."
