Milwaukee Lakefront

Milwaukee Lakefront Professional Review and Guide

"Parking is best and pretty cheap at the Milwaukee Art Museum (MAM) near Veterans Park, although free parking is located farther north. The Milwaukee Lakefront Trail used to be called the Milwaukee 76 Trail to honor the bicentennial, but many of the trails that run through the city are now called the Oak Leaf Trail.

There's this one that runs along the lake; another runs along the river, and still others through some of the city parks. Things to see: Beachfront, McKinley Marina. The Milwaukee lakefront is less crowded than Chicago’s, because it’s less connected to the city. There are still crowds that you should be aware of, however. On the other side of the marina, McKinley and Bradford Beaches are well used in the summer. As you ride along the beach, Lake Drive is to your left and Lake Park is ahead."
