Turtle-Flambeau Flowage

Turtle-Flambeau Flowage Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Consider this the book’s free-form paddle excursion. This is Wisconsin’s smaller, more accessible version of the Boundary Waters. Totaling nearly 19,000 acres of water plus almost double that in protected land, this dam-controlled lake offers paddlers short out-and-back routes and longer, overnight expeditions through the wilderness with free rustic camping.

There are even a couple of portages if you want. Wildlife is abundant, making this a popular destination for birders as well as anglers. This is Wisconsin wilderness at its paddling best. Multiple landings also make a point-to-point trip possible."
