As scenic as the companion bike trail that runs along its length, this section of the Red Cedar starts in a city park and flows wide but steady over interesting rock shelves just beneath the surface. Other than some riffles, the paddle is mostly gentle and relaxing while offering only a bit of development along the high forest banks. Along the river’s length, small creeks and little cascades trickle in from the trees.
