Token Creek

Token Creek Professional Review and Guide

"Follow a trail and boardwalk along a clear country creek, explore sedge meadow and prairie, and finish the day with a round of disc golf."

More Token Creek Professional Reviews and Guides

"This hike circumnavigates a county park featuring landscapes of prairie and sedge meadow, with rugged sections near the park’s namesake creek that are a bit more challenging than the typical day hike. It’s a nice opportunity to see a restored prairie up close, as well as wetland plants and birds along a boardwalk near the end of the hike.

Located north of Madison’s airport and east of Cherokee Marsh in rolling countryside along a major interstate highway, Token Creek is popular for camping and horseback riding, as well as cross-country skiing in the winter. There’s even a horseshoe pit right by the trailhead. See if you can rustle up some shoes from the park office."
