This popular multiuse trail on smooth asphalt takes you from the east side to the west side of Madison via wetlands, prairie, and a long greenway tucked into a residential area. The trail starts out through prairie. At 0.3 mile, you pass a park bench and some picnic tables just after that as the trail winds 0.2 mile through oak forest. Beyond that, the prairie of the Lewis Nine Springs E-Way is to your right and chock-full of wildflowers, including bergamot, coneflowers, Queen Anne’s lace, and black-eyed Susans.
