Nordic Trail Professional Review and Guide
"Like other hiking areas in Kettle Moraine State Forest, this trail has several paths that braid and crisscross each other as they move through the woods and up and down glacial hills. This hike follows the green loop, which also incorporates some of the other colored loops for parts of the hike. Cross-country skiers find this trail challenging due to the many hills and descents, which make it a workout for hikers as well.
There’s a shelter at the trailhead equipped with heaters, which can be a real benefit if you’re hiking on colder days. The trailhead is just north of the village of La Grange, which makes it a good jumping-off spot for adventures in the forest."
