Kickapoo River Professional Review and Guide
"Commonly referred to as “the Most Crooked River in the World”—certainly a contender anyway—the Kickapoo is a serpentine delight for paddlers, passing before and behind numerous exposed sandstone bluffs and enjoying a steady current. Abundant tree cover and the shade of the undercut cliffs keep this paddle pleasant even on a hot summer day. This segment also avoids the tubers and the quick in-and-out paddlers upstream in Ontario, plus much of the deadfall farther downstream. It starts within the Kickapoo Valley Reserve but ends at the edge of town in La Farge."
