Greenbush Purple Trail

Greenbush Purple Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Like the village, the trails have their own unique character. A deep, sheltering forest helps hold the snow when nearby farm fields are bare. Thanks to the dedication of the local Kettle Moraine Nordic Ski Club, the ski trails are groomed for classical skiing and skating as frequently and as well as possible. The new enclosed shelter building adds to the charm. A link of the Ice Age Trail passes by and is wonderful for snowshoeing.

You’ll agree the kettles make great skiing. The deep glacial depressions put excitement in the downhills. The trails are easy to follow in a counterclockwise direction. All are marked by periodic white posts with color-coding at the tops. Trails split off and rejoin, so multiple colors are common. If you were to ski all of the trails individually, you would cover nearly 11 miles. Surface quality: Groomed, single track, skate lane. Fees: yes."
