This rather remote stretch of the St. Croix River runs between Wisconsin and Minnesota. It shows rapids and riffles, an uncommon sight along the lower section of this National Scenic Riverway. An optional narrow channel, passable only with sufficient water, offers more experienced paddlers some extra excitement for a portion of this paddle, while the main channel of this wide river provides a bit of beginner-friendly riffles and rapids.
