Deep in the heart of the Nicolet National Forest, this final stretch of the Pine River passes through pristine forest on its way to the Menominee River. The first 3 miles offer the only riffles or rapids on the route, curling around The Oxbow to a takeout for those who wish to repeat the run. Beyond this point the river is gentle, rolling slow and wide past wooded banks and offering good wildlife viewing. The paddle trip ends within a mile of the Menominee.
