Magnolia Bluff County Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"With a path that clambers up a craggy sandstone bluff to a sweeping view over surrounding farmland, this scenic hike also offers some good exercise as you head up the steep slope. There are two overlooks, one at both the east and west ends of the bluff, with clear, unobstructed sight lines.
The park, less than an hour outside of Madison, is popular with horseback riders as well as hikers, with an equestrian-designated parking lot where the park road reaches the top of the bluff. The paths move through woods thick with trees that climb both sides of the bluff. There may not be many magnolia trees, but there are plenty of oaks and other species all along the hike."
