This is a 23 mile long trail. My husband and I went on this after finishing the Red Cedar Valley Trail...we made the mistake of not bringing a rack with waterbottles, snack foods, etc...it is a very long stretch..nice trail, but long with not many rest stops..there is an old garage with a pop machine in the town of Meridean, nice pit toilets in Caryville and another rest stop at Wayside Park, but be prepared to bring your own drinks. It may be a lot easier to start in Eau Claire which this site recommends, but it was easier for us as as were on the end of the Red Cedar State Trail and just continued onto this one. Nice views on this one too...goes into the woods for a ways and then nice countryside. I stayed at the Dairy Queen in Eau Claire while my husband biked all the way back to Menomonie to get the vehicle to pick my up...so it was a very long day! My advice: Do one trail one day and the other one another day.
