North Country Trail Professional Review and Guide
"Located 5 miles south of Iron River on County Road A. Highlights: The 3,200-mile North Country National Scenic Trail travels from Upstate New York, all the way to North Dakota. Forty of those miles traverse the northern reaches of the Chequamegon . These 10 miles offer a superb trek through scenic forest; numerous options for exploration rides.
The trail is littered with potential hazards, including rocks, roots, low branches, deep foliage, ruts, loose sand, and incessant, bone-jarring washboard tread. Don’t do this ride if you feel a headache coming on. Avoid causing damage to fragile sections, stay alert, and always yield to hikers and horses."
