Badfish Creek Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"One of the best secrets in south central Wisconsin, Badfish Creek has everything you can want in a stream: clear water, swift current, riffles and light rapids, pretty scenery, sandbars, some small hills, a sense of remoteness, and lots of twists and turns. Not for beginners, the Badfish requires solid boat control and river-reading skills. Expect to see deer, muskrats, ducks, geese, turkeys, hawks, great blue herons, fish, and bald eagles.
The creek is a great place to practice reading a river, as there are many shallow spots, typically in the more open sections where the stream widens. That said, it should be noted that Badfish Creek daily receives Madison’s treated wastewater."
