Kettle Moraine State Forest—Northern Unit: Zillmer Hiking Trails Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"A popular skiing route in winter, the Zillmer Trails, named for Raymond Zillmer, whose vision brought us the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, is also a fantastic place for a hike on the several color-coded trails.
A creek runs through the park, and at the north end is a short spur trail out to the Ice Age Visitor Center—a nice place to take a break along the outer Yellow loop on which this trek is based. In addition to healthy forest and abundant glacial formations, the trail passes wetlands in its last mile."
