Chocolate City Delight Professional Review and Guide
"The name of this ride doesn't refer to an ice-cream sundae that originated in this southeastern Wisconsin city but to the city's largest employer, the Nestle Company. If you're a chocolate lover and the wind is right, your mouth will be watering as you ride into or out of Burlington; at times the smell of rich, sweet chocolate hangs over the town. Keep that in mind, as a frozen-custard stand happens to be at the corner where the ride ends.
It's almost impossible to resist a chocolate-covered treat when this ride is over. If you happen to do this ride in May, the Chocolate Festival- a large community-wide celebration with chocolate as the theme- might satisfy your craving for both the sweet stuff and a pleasant bike ride. There is more to Burlington, however, than chocolate. The Spinning Top Exploratory Museum on Milwaukee Street features more than 2,000 yo-yos and gyroscopes as well as modern and antique tops. If you're in a contemplative mood, there's no better place than the gardens and grotto of the St. Francis Retreat Center, which you'll pass midway through the ride."
