The shortest and most popular route to Silver Star’s stellar summit, this loop uses one of the mountain’s old jeep roads (since converted to trail) and its newest trail (part of the long-distance Chinook Trail). Starting high, almost immediately saunter across sprawling flower gardens set against a backdrop of snowy showy volcanoes. En route, pass through a rock arch and a landscape that looks straight out of the Southwest—except for all of the greenery!
