Sun Mountain

Sun Mountain Professional Review and Guide

"The cross-country skiing trails on Sun Mountain make incredible mountain biking routes for every skill level. Ride the lower trails to warm up and then ride to the upper trails for a good workout and some fast descents. Be prepared to share the mountain with a few others, especially in the summer.

For mountain bikers who are used to riding hills and toiling through difficult terrain, this section of the John Wayne Pioneer Trail will make you feel right at home. The former 2 to 3 percent grade takes a break during these 31.5 miles, thanks to a detour on the road over I–90 and some serious climbing on the route up and over the Boylston Mountains."
