Rainy Lake and Lake Ann Loops

Rainy Lake and Lake Ann Loops Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Who doesn’t like a loop tour? This tour offers several options for a quintessential North Cascades day tour loop with fun, mostly moderate ski descents that link the two scenic lakes above Rainy Pass.

This tour begins at Rainy Pass on the North Cascades Highway (State Route 20), 52.3 miles east of Marblemount. This section of the highway is closed to cars in winter starting in November or December, but it is plowed open between late March and May, depending on the snow conditions. Drive to Rainy Pass, and park just east of the Rainy Pass sign at the entrance road to the parking area for the summer trailheads to Lake Ann and Rainy Lake."
