An absolutely beautiful section of the old Columbia River Highway has been reincarnated as the Historic Columbia River Highway Trail. This easy paved path delivers sweeping views, gorgeous wildflowers, a fascinating historical perspective— and the opportunity to stroll high above the river through two surviving tunnels of the old roadway. The trail is popular with families, runners, and bicyclists of all ages—but it makes for a perfectly wonderful hike as well.
