Hike through woods and tiny flower-covered meadows to a junction with Round the Mountain Trail near the timberline on the southwest slope of Mount Adams. There is a fantastic view of the southwest side of Mount Adams from this trail. On the slopes above, Avalanche Glacier descending below The Pinnacle and a small waterfall is in view to the east-northeast. Trout Lake Valley is far below to the south, and to the southeast are the rolling, treeless hills near The Dalles, Oregon.
