John Wayne Trail

John Wayne Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This may be one of the best sections of the John Wayne Pioneer Trail, which runs through the center of the long, linear Iron Horse State Park (hundreds of miles long, but just a few dozen yards wide in many areas).

You’ll pass through rustic farmland, alongside a wild stretch of the upper Yakima River, and possibly see ospreys, eagles, vultures, elk, otters, beavers, and mule deer, not to mention countless bovines!"
