Spokane River Centennial Trail Professional Review and Guide
"Welcome to 37 miles of paved riverfront trail in a region that receives a meager 11 inches of rain per year. The sun shines on the Spokane River, rapids rush downriver, and bridges crisscross the water. The Centennial Trail has three different personalities: the bustling and beautiful downtown Riverfront Park; the calm and gentle terrain to the east; and the hilly section high above the river, to the west. Both the eastern and western routes have sections on roadside shoulders. This is hot, desert country. Much of the trail is without services other than trailhead restrooms and water. Pack a snack, and bring a water bottle to refill along the way. Benches and picnic tables offer rest stops beside the river."
