Hike the paved Centennial Trail from the Sontag Park Trailhead near Nine Mile Falls through Riverside State Park to the Military Cemetery Trailhead. This is the most scenic part of the 37-mile-long Centennial Trail and the section that is best adapted to hikers. Allow plenty of time to enjoy the viewpoints overlooking the sometimes calm, sometimes frothing Spokane River.
