Asahel Curtis Nature Trail

Asahel Curtis Nature Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Early photographer Asahel Curtis had a passion for documenting the world around him, including the beauty of the Northwest outdoors.

With logging, mining, and the influx of settlers around the turn of the twentieth century, the Northwest was about to change forever, and Curtis’s work chronicled that historic shift. It seems fitting then that a nature trail through one of the last remaining old-growth forests only an hour from Seattle should be given his name."

"Great towering forests can still be found in the Snoqualmie Pass corridor, and this beautiful little interpretive loop offers a wonderful glimpse into the majesty of these fine old forests. The kids will love this walk through the woods. They can scamper over massive fallen logs, marvel at towering trees, and listen to the flitterings and callings of birds. The trail is named for perhaps the most renowned photographer in Washington history." Read more
