Road 6516-110 Klinger Ridge

Road 6516-110: Klinger Ridge Professional Review and Guide

"This trip can certainly be described as having a very high “pleasure-to-pain” ratio. Although the 4494-foot summit is heavily treed and offers no views, the route up has many spots to stop and enjoy the scenery. To the south, the views continue to expand until, at the 1.5-mile point, there is almost a 180-degree panorama across the Skykomish River, which includes Mount Daniel, Mount Hinman, Chimney, and a myriad of other peaks in the Alpine Lakes area.

For those inclined to visit the summit, it provides a nice shady spot to eat lunch. Exploring in the summit area one can find some peekaboo views to the north, one of which provides a narrowly framed look at Townsend Mountain."

We never actually found the trail, but we did explore the surrounding areas above. Very impressive views of mountain peaks in distance, and surpising amount of clarity in the air compared to lower sites near Index. The directions appear to be wrong, and it looked like there were many road revisions in the recent past.
