Pacific Crest Trail - Henry M Jackson Wilderness Backpacking

Pacific Crest Trail - Henry M. Jackson Wilderness (Backpacking) Professional Review and Guide

"The scenery here isn’t as grandly rugged as along other sections, but the route visits several sparkling lakes, has many excellent viewpoints, and, most notably, goes through lots of glorious meadows. There are several ups and downs, but they are never very long or terribly steep. In addition, both ends of the trip are reached by good roads, and the car-shuttle distance between them is reasonable.

The trail north from Stevens Pass starts as a very gradual
downhill on an old railroad grade. The route is rather brushy but easy to hike as you cross the slopes above Stevens Creek opposite the highway. The trail rounds a ridge, becomes a true footpath, and travels a few hundred feet above some buildings to the right. Before long you cross a small creek, where you’ll find a fair camp."
