Upper South Fork Skokomish River

Upper South Fork Skokomish River Professional Review and Guide

"Venture on a rarely traveled trail up a wild valley to lonely meadows and subalpine pools set in a bowl at the headwaters of the South Fork Skokomish River. Then steeply climb a pass and descend through parkland meadows and berry patches to a pretty little subalpine lake. The trees are huge along the way—among the biggest and oldest on the peninsula.

Dogs prohibited beyond park boundary. FR 2361 closed Oct 1–Apr 30 to protect wildlife. Hike requires two fords, only safe during low flows, typically in late summer."
