Pine Lake

Pine Lake Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Many road-to-trail conversions simply involve closing the road and trenching a few culverts, making for an unappealing hike. Not this one. The well-designed trail curves along the old roadbed, and the roadbed has been restored to original contours in places. Someday soon, it will be tough to see that this trail was once a logging road.

This hike to a pleasant little lake will leave you pleasantly surprised. Thank the Forest Service for the aesthetically pleasing road-to-trail conversion. And the lake? It’s a beauty surrounded by ancient forest. But not pines—you won’t find one at this misnamed lake."
