Neah Bay and Ozette

Neah Bay and Ozette Professional Review and Guide

"This 84-mile drive follows the rocky shore of the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the Makah Indian village of Neah Bay near the tip of the Olympic Peninsula. This drive is located under the Pacific Flyway, the migratory flight path of more than two hundred kinds of birds. An albino bald eagle lives near Neah Bay, and a local grapevine of bird watchers keeps track of its flight patterns.

Farther west on the Pacific Coast, both bald eagles and trumpeter swans sometimes share the same airspace. Special attractions: Makah Tribal Museum, deep-sea charter fishing, scuba diving, beach walks, tidepooling. This eTrail is a complete description of a scenic drive with a route map and information on the best travel seasons, interesting sites, recreation opportunities, camping locations, and much more."
