Scott Paul Trail

Scott Paul Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This amazing trail offers children the chance to see glaciers close-up and learn about their effects on the landscape. They can cross glacial streams on two swaying suspension bridges, peer up at the glacier’s snout, and then climb the moraines it left behind.

The sound of boulders being slammed against the floor of the stream and the groans of moving ice are unforgettable, high-alpine sound effects. Note that the bridges on this trail are seasonal. They are removed in late September and are not put back in place until late June, and the creeks should not be forded. Be sure to call the district office to check that the bridges are in place before heading out."
