Mt Josephine

Mt. Josephine Professional Review and Guide

"This out-and-back ride is an 18-mile round-trip over gravel roads in fair to poor condition. The ascent is long and tiring, with a lot of moderate climbing and some short, steep pitches. The last couple of miles below the summit are the toughest.

Rocky stretches of road make the return technical in places. Although clear-cuts feature heavily in the picture, the panoramic view form the summit of Mt. Josephine is good. Twin Sisters, Mt. Baker, and Mt. Shuksan dominate the northern horizon. On a clear day you can spy Puget sound and the Olympics to the west. Area is popular with off-road vehicle enthusiasts."
