Wild Sanctuaries in the Big City Urban Nature Walks in the Seattle Area

Wild Sanctuaries in the Big City: Urban Nature Walks in the Seattle Area Professional Review and Guide

"Check out Green Lake and four other parks in the greater Seattle area that offer nature walks in fall and winter. Green Lake is a natural preserve for hundreds of species of trees and plants in the center of a dense urban neighborhood.

It draws thousands of people daily to enjoy the water, green space, and numerous birds. Piedbilled grebe expert Martin Mueller, a Green Lake Park Alliance volunteer, leads 2.8-mile winter bird walks around the lake. No sign-up is required, but it is limited to the first fifteen participants, so you may want to get there a little early."
