Pike–Pine Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Pike–Pine Corridor has supplanted Broadway’s dominance of the Capitol Hill business scene. Once Seattle’s Auto Row, its handsome prewar showrooms and garages now house the bulk of The Hill’s LGBTQ, music, art, and theater scenes, plus still more places at which to eat, drink, and shop. (As with many of this book’s walks, there are far too many cool spaces to mention; take the time to make your own discoveries.)

Along the way, this walk passes a major indie bookstore in a former auto-parts warehouse, a ballroom dance studio in a former Odd Fellows Hall, a literary arts center in a former funeral parlor, and two separate quartets of Greek-style architectural columns, disembodied from the houses of worship they once fronted."
