Phinney Ridge and Greenwood

Phinney Ridge and Greenwood Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Phinney Ridge is North Seattle’s topographic “spine,” rising 2 miles between the traditionally industrial Ballard and Fremont and the traditionally more bourgeois northeast neighborhoods. At the ridge’s peak stands the Woodland Park Zoo, a crossroads of species as well as cultures.

It’s a worldwide leader in showcasing its various critters within naturalistic habitat displays. Before and after passing the zoo, this walk takes you through some neighborhood business blocks that have gradually become more boutique-y in recent years."
