Mowich Lake to Carbon River camp Junction via the Spray Park Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Though it’s not the official Wonderland Trail, most hikers doing the loop around the mountain prefer to use the Spray Park Trail as an alternate way of reaching Carbon River. This is a reasonable choice because the scenery is extremely dramatic and is certainly more impressive than that found along the actual Wonderland Trail. The main reasons not to take this alternative are that it is somewhat more exposed and strenuous, with a couple of miles that are above timberline and an additional 500 feet in elevation gain, and that until as late as mid-August much of the high country near the divide above Spray Park will still be covered with large snowfields."
