Interlaken and Montlake Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Interlaken Blvd. is one of the Olmsted plan’s (Walk 11) promenades through the city. Before that, in the 1890s, it was part of a bicycle-path network that crossed Seattle in the pre–Model T years. It remains a great place to retreat from the big city and commune with the big trees.
Like Ravenna Park (Walk 24), Interlaken lets you pretend you’re out in a deep wilderness, without the wasteful fuel consumption of a real country road trip. Beneath this path, the Montlake neighborhood sports some modestly sized but stately homes, and one grand mid-century modern church."
