Good Tiding Beach Walk at Discovery Park

Good Tiding: Beach Walk at Discovery Park Professional Review and Guide

"Discovery Park is Seattle’s largest park and a prime destination for any nature lover. Within its 534 acres, most of which was once Fort Lawton Army Base, can be found cool woods, a restored wetland, ancient bluffs, groves of blackberries for summer foraging, and grassy fields slowly being restored with native plants.

This is a favorite destination for bird watchers, who are able to observe birds of many different types of habitat all within park grounds. The Discovery Park Visitor Center sells an inexpensive map that can direct you to miles of trails and other park features. The center offers excellent classes and outings with naturalists on such subjects as mushrooms, snakes, animal tracking, and wetlands."
