Emerald Lake Trail

Emerald Lake Trail Professional Review and Guide

"If you and your canine are itching for an early season adventure in Kettle Country, Emerald Lake should soothe that itch. Located in the heart of steep-walled, glacially carved Hoodoo Canyon, Emerald Lake is a little gem.

The hike is short and easy, and you can easily spend all day in the canyon and along the shores of the secluded lake. The trail begins at pretty little Trout Lake at the head of the canyon. A little Forest Service campground with four secluded sites sits right on the lake and at the trailhead. Consider spending the night here. Don’t forget your fishing gear."
