Curlew Lake State Park

Curlew Lake State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This 85-acre state park has nearly 1 mile of waterfront on Curlew Lake, including a good swimming beach. It is a great home base for bicycle tour groups. This was apparently the site of an early Interior Salish–speaking Indian settlement. Relics, including flint chips,
construction tools, and household implements, have been found here and on other parts of the
lakeshore.

Flint does not exist here naturally, so it was either packed in or acquired through trade with people from another area. The trout and bass fishing are reputed to be excellent here. There is also a 1-mile hiking trail."
