Redmond to Issaquah and Preston Professional Review and Guide

"Redmond’s Marymoor Park is a location from which you can go nearly any direction on a bike: north to Woodinville, west into Bellevue, or east to the Snoqualmie Valley over winding Union Hill or Novelty Hill roads. That leaves only one compass point left, and that’s the direction for this tour: head south toward Issaquah around Lake Sammamish.

This route south will be much enhanced for road cyclists in coming years as the East Lake Sammamish Trail is paved. Until then, loop the lake by heading south along its west side, then returning up its east side. Both roads have good bike lanes, although the west side is bike-able only southbound, and there is a brief section with no shoulder. If that is a concern, go up and back on the east side of the lake on the wide, well-paved road surface."
