Redmond Puget Power Trail

Redmond Puget Power Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Need an early-season ride to pedal the body back into shape? How about a ride to take a significant other on for a first mountain bike ride without killing him or her—or the relationship? Or how about a few quick miles in the saddle without having to drive to the outreaches of the Puget Sound region? The Redmond Puget Power Trail may be the answer.

Easy access, a smooth, flat blacktop trail along the Sammamish River, a double lane–wide trail buffed smooth by construction crews and covered with crushed gravel the size of corn kernels, and a couple of climbs and drops to keep it interesting make this route a favorite among local area novice and intermediate mountain bikers. But after the legal battles over the Redmond Watershed that pitted equestrians and hikers against mountain bikers a few years back, this area of the East Side has fallen off the mountain bike radar. Trail surface: Paved bike path, gravel and dirt roads, hard packed dirt and mud."
