Spring Creek - Green Mountain Trail

Spring Creek - Green Mountain Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This trail leads through small meadows, old fir forest, and huckleberry patches along the Spring Creek valley, before taking you on a moderate climb to the summit of the large, forested peak of Green Mountain.

Head up the trail as it wonders through the meadows, marshlands, and forests of the Spring Creek valley. The initial going is scenic forest ecosystems, filled with birds and beasts—including clouds of mosquitoes if you come too early in the year (i.e., July). After about 1.8 miles of nearly flat strolling along the valley bottom, turn right onto the Green Mountain Trail and begin your workout. This trail winds moderately upward, following the southeast spine of the mountain. But don’t fret too much about the climb—the pitch is pretty gentle. There are wonderful views awaiting you at the top, with mighty Mount Adams dominating the scene."
