Mount Rainier National Park-Ohanapecosh Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Hiking is the main appeal of Ohanapecosh, with arguably the best day hikes in the state right outside the tent flap or RV door. You can walk among 1,000-year-old western red cedars and Douglas firs, over a thundering gorge, and to the base of a giant waterfall.

The campground itself is huge and is one of the best in Washington despite its size. The shady sites are spaced to give campers plenty of room. The river is relatively noisy, so you may not want to camp right next to it. The park encompasses 378 square miles."
