Cispus River

Cispus River Professional Review and Guide

"The Cispus provides a pretty but little-known trip through the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. It has enjoyable Class 2 rapids at moderate water levels and a fairly long season.

The Cispus gathers its water on the west sides of Mount Adams and the Goat Rocks Wilderness and drops rapidly to the west toward its confluence with the Cowlitz. Good rafting and kayaking trips are found on the Cispus both above and below the route described here, but this trip is a scenic run suitable for canoes."
