West Fork Humptulips River

West Fork Humptulips River Professional Review and Guide

"With spectacular groves of old growth, meadows teeming with wildlife, and views of rugged surrounding peaks, the West Fork Humptulips River flows through one of the most varied of the rainforest valleys. The lightly used trail travels 17 miles from the river’s gorge to its headwaters and involves twenty-five river fords! Five trailheads allow several day-hiking options.

Built and maintained by the Backcountry Horsemen of Washington, this 17-mile trail sees little hiker use. Yes, there are twenty-five river fords—far easier for horses than humans."
