Marmot Pass via Big Quilcene Trail

Marmot Pass via Big Quilcene Trail Professional Review and Guide

"It’s been said that the Garden of Eden is in Mesopotamia, but many hikers believe it can be found on the trail to Marmot Pass. However, if you live in the greater Seattle area, getting an early start is critical for this hike.

Whether you drive around or take a ferry, plan on a long day. The trail is situated in the Buckhorn Wilderness and features some of the best scenery and flowers the Olympics have to offer. For the best flowers, July may be the best bet. When I was there in early August, many of the flowers were already going to seed."
