Mount Storm King Viewpoint Professional Review and Guide
"Unless you happen to be a bald eagle, the best bird’s-eye view of Lake Crescent is from a trailside outlook partway up Mount Storm King. Unfortunately, reaching this observation point is a whole lot easier for eagles than it is for humans. Without the “unfair” advantage of feathers, we are forced to envy the avians as we trudge up a steep and tiring trail to reach the same perspective that they acquire with just a few flaps of their giant wings. On the plus side, the trail is fairly short and mostly in the shade, though it’s still a good idea to hike in the cool of the morning rather than the heat of a summer afternoon."
