Hurricane Ridge to Deer Park Traverse

Hurricane Ridge to Deer Park Traverse Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Hurricane Ridge to Deer Park is the classic ski traverse in the Olympic Mountains. The tour is older than Olympic National Park itself. In 1934, roads were constructed from the Elwha River to Hurricane Ridge from the west and from Danz Ranch (near the current park boundary) to Deer Park from the north. Soon thereafter, the US Forest Service developed Deer Park as the first ski area on the Olympic Peninsula."
